miKey
Software companies distributing licensed or subscription products
Self-hosted licensing, entitlements, subscriptions, and billing for software you sell, from the key you issue to the invoice that closes the term.
Technology · Security · Software
Our own software platforms, managed IT and security, and custom development when a business needs something built. One team in Upstate South Carolina, and the same team afterwards.
What miTech does
miKey and RV Tech Pro. Platforms we own, build, and support ourselves.
IT support, networks, cybersecurity, cameras, door access, and cloud infrastructure.
Portals, field systems, integrations, and replacements for software that has outlived its usefulness.
The same team specifies the network, writes the software that runs on it, and answers the phone when something breaks. Nothing is handed to a third party at the boundary.

Selected work
How we work
Most providers stop at the boundary between infrastructure and the software running on it. That boundary is where problems become somebody else’s problem.
01
We start with how the work actually happens now, including the spreadsheet, the whiteboard, and the workaround nobody documented.
02
Network, infrastructure, and software are specified together, so the boundary between them is not left as somebody else’s problem.
03
Software written around your operation rather than adapted from something general, and infrastructure sized for what it has to carry.
04
Installed, migrated, and put into service, with the people who will use it trained before it becomes their only option.
05
The team that specified and built it answers the phone afterwards. There is no handover to a separate support desk that has never seen the system.
Custom software
We still build custom systems for small and mid-sized businesses: customer portals, field and dispatch tools, integrations between systems that were never meant to talk to each other, and replacements for software that has outlived the business around it.
What that covers
Where we work
Cameras, cabling, door access, and server work cannot be done from a call center three time zones away. We cover the Upstate in person, and support the software we build wherever it runs.

Next step
A short conversation about the system you have now is more useful than a proposal written against a form.
